I'm a Kansas City, Missouri native and grew up primarily in the Northland. Growing up near KC meant I spent much of my time downtown. I love the architecture and landscape the city, and would often enjoy exploring different buildings and admiring their designs. The hidden gems that Kansas City holds will always have a special place in my heart.
From a young age, I was often immersed in a sketchbook at family gatherings or exploring the creative possibilities in the videogame, Minecraft. This passion for creativity has always been a core aspect of my personality, and I am truly excited to apply it in the Kansas City community, a place I have come to deeply appreciate and cherish.
In high school, I joined Project Lead The Way, which I feel was a pivotal transition for myself in the world of design. This is where I first began to explore AutoCAD, Inventor, and Revit. After graduation, I decided to obtain an associates in Applied Sciences with a certificate in AutoCAD. This was not my end goal, however. I then attended the CIDA accredited Architectural Studies - Interior Design program at the University of Missouri in Columbia. I graduated with honors in December of 2024. Please join me, enjoy, and have a look at my interior design journey!
Interior design is a complex yet rewarding mix of technical skill and human creativity. What I love most about it is that, much like math, there always seems to be a "right" answer. However, it’s the journey and your approach to the design process you take that determines how you solve the equation.
Looking back on the countless hours and late nights spent researching, creating physical models, and developing digital renderings for presentations, I realize that design has never been a simple, one-step process for me. These moments of collaboration are essential in shaping my growth, not only as someone passionate about learning but also as I am entering the design field.
As I venture into the next chapter of my career, I want to make one thing clear: I am committed to my work, both now and in the future. I am excited to meet other creative individuals who understand and support my vision. Connecting with people who are as passionate about design as I am has been deeply inspiring—whether it's my peers, professors, or professionals who have pushed me toward success during my time in school. Now, I’m ready to grow my strengths in the professional world while staying true to who I’ve always been: an energetic, caring, and compassionate individual who simply loves to create!
